About taking care of the elderly
Finland would save a huge amount of money by taking better care of the elderly.
Most of the elements for a healthy life are gone in care facilities and at homes. Seniors who are in good condition would like to, and also could, continue working.
The quality of life, vitality and physical condition can be strengthened by exercising, aerobic training, culture, socializing, touch, music, dance, intellectual stimuli, housework, garden work, walking in the woods, spirituality and keeping a pet.
The elderly are generally malnourished. They should get more vitamins D, E and C as well as zinc, copper, selenium, magnesium, iodine and boron from high-quality food and supplements.
Functional spices and medicinal herbs also help. Young domestic animals are fed a lot of supplements, old ones even more. Why is this not the case for people?
The elderly are also been proven to be seriously over-medicated because they are practically defenseless against it.
