How much screen time is too much?

In the article (in a Finnish newspaper) the `harmless` time used with digital devices is said to be approximately 7 hours.

Add to this 8 hours of work or study, one hour for meals and one hour for travelling, and the sum is already 17 hours. There is only 7 hours left for sleeping. Where is the time for physical activity and for other activities?

When we are searching for the wise maximum for screen time we need to look at the big picture and also assess what other useful or even necessary activities screen time displaces.

Apparently, screen time is becoming the latest cancer of time management, and we have no idea of even all the direct effects, not to mention the effects in the long term.

However, strong effects on health and fitness, social relationships and sexual/reproductive health and life management skills (both practical and technical) are clearly visible already.
