Teenage basketball player with leg injury
I wish I’d thought of purchasing a saddle chair earlier, since it’s been close to eight weeks since my son sustained a tibial avulsion fracture which required surgery and repair with three screws and a wire. He still has another four weeks on crutches to go plus rehab, so being able to get out on the court for longer each day – in a balanced, upright and safe position is just what the doctor ordered! He tested it out straight away on his basketball court – made shooting so much more enjoyable for him, and provided him with a stable base to do what he loves!

Person with MS, home use
I use Salli Expert with MultiAdjuster seat. I have MS disease and I use the chair indoors. It makes things easy in kitchen, as it helps me to reach for things in cupboards. In toilet it is handy when I wash my hands and face or brush my teeth. It is also a great help when I need to move things from one place to another, because I can spin around on it.
Accessories are a good help in everyday life, and it is easier to move on Salli Expert than with a wheel chair. It is sturdy and safe, and the adjustable height is a good feature.
Salli Expert also provides good leg exercise and balance training when I move around while sitting on it.

Saddle chair Salli Twin is just perfect for playing the cello! The sitting position is natural and suitable for playing the instrument, and it is good that the inclination can be adjusted just the way I want.

I suffer from a slight lateral bending of the spine (scoliosis), and I have had the Salli saddle chair for a month now. Getting used to a saddle chair after a normal swivel chair was a bit difficult in the beginning. But after two weeks I noticed a build-up of muscle in my back area. Sitting on the saddle chair is a bit more difficult than on a normal swivel chair, but the posture improves. In retrospect, I’m glad about this acquisition and can highly recommend the Salli saddle chair.

Yesterday I picked up my new Salli Twin from my dealer in Amsterdam after its timely delivery in about 10 days. This dealer (Scholtens Werkplek) has been very helpful and patient in assisting with finding the right model from your product range, even providing a loaner Twin while my order was pending. I wish to express my thanks to you and your team for inventing, refining and bringing to market this excellent solution to the pernicious problems of working posture and back pain. While I am only 28 years old, for more than two years I have been suffering from nerve pain caused by problems with my lower back. I would feel a burning sensation all over both my legs whenever I sat down on a conventional chair. This made studying very difficult. Even worse, lying in bed wouldn’t provide any relief, the burning and spasms would come and go during the night keeping me awake. Now that my back is healing on my Salli I can finally sleep well again, and I can sit on conventional chairs (e.g. on a train) for longer and longer without discomfort. Again, my heartfelt thanks.

Altogether I can say: These days I go to Yoga only for fun, not anymore because of my back pain. I don’t have it anymore even if I am sitting every now and then for more than 10 hours in a row on the Salli Swing. Which is actually good: The chair activates and encourages you to stand up every once in a while. It is also just impossible to “twine” the legs in an unhealthy way around the chair like I always used to do while sitting on other chairs. I can fully recommend the Salli chair!

I fell on my bike when I was trying to avoid a car that was cutting in front of me. I broke my ankle, it was operated and I have to wear a cast for six weeks. I came home from hospital with crutches. Household chores and cooking were very difficult with crutches, as I couldn’t even carry a cup of coffee in my hand. I started to think that some kind of a chair with castors would be great. A traditional wheel chair was no good, because it is too low and I should be able to have my feet under the table. A work chair with castors? How about a saddle chair? I contacted a friend and his work place provided me with a Salli MultiAdjuster saddle chair. Now that I’m sitting on a functional chair I can work in the kitchen. It makes my life so much easier, as I cannot put any weight on my injured leg. The hospital physiotherapist showed me how to use the crutches but no other home medical equipment were mentioned. I don’t know if the hospital have saddle chairs for convalescents but based on my own experience they should have. I’m not going to give my saddle chair away as long as I have to wear the cast. The number one help, together with the crutches, is the saddle chair. I will continue using Salli saddle chair even after I’ve got rid of the cast. It is also an excellent idea for a birthday present for the elderly!

HögforsGST is a pioneer in heavy metal industry when it comes to using Salli Saddle Chairs to improve staff wellbeing. On Salli chairs it is easy to sit in an ergonomic position. Our experience is clearly positive.
One day of sick leave costs the employer about 350–400 euros. The management realized that the investment in the seats would pay for itself many times over already during the first year.
The first chairs were given to people who had problems with their lower backs. Those who usually suffered from inconvenience and pain after work now felt no pain at all.
Salli Systems has several good solutions for the manufacturing industry. The chairs have spark protected upholstery, and one model is especially designed for welding where support is needed for the wrists. This was brilliant because we have to weld pipes of different sizes. The welder can sit on a Salli without having to think about the posture and can concentrate on the seam. Work is efficient, and the back will not become stiff or numb.
Stretching Support has also been good for us because it makes maintaining the position little easier. Salli also has large hard castors that work well in our industrial production halls. We have machines of different heights, but Salli could offer the perfect chair solutions for each height and also a chair for very heavy users (over 120 kg).
Salli’s solutions are ideal for heavy metal industry, where part of the work must be done in sitting position. There really is a difference in the result when we use modern and ergonomic furniture. One sits in the correct position and even those with a hunched posture learned to sit right.

Because of its special construction, the saddle chair offers advantages for the assembly area. In activities that require frequent change of positions, the employees (assuming the work area has level floors without tripping hazard) can shift to several different positions without difficulty and therefore use their musculoskeletal system variably during assembly activities by assuming different postures.
Observations at a pre-assembly workstation in the construction vehicle industry (asphalt paver) showed that a change between, e.g. a half-sitting position (on the Salli Saddle Chair) and a standing position, permitted continuation of the activity at the same work height in different positions using different muscle groups, thereby preventing the effects of forced postures, such as those resulting from standing up continuously. These advantages were confirmed by various older employees (50 years and older), as well as by younger employees with intervertebral disk-related ailments, the latter caused in part by the fact that they were standing for long periods of time.
In another case, an insurance company became involved in procuring the Salli Saddle Chair for an employee with significant limitations of the musculoskeletal system (chronic polyarthritis in the intertarsal joints). The work involved taking a part from a pallet cage, inserting it into a press, then removing the item and depositing it into another pallet cage. It was only possible to do this standing up, due to the relatively large range of mobility, but with the Salli Saddle Chair it could be performed sitting down or – if so desired – by switching between sitting and standing up, which relieves the strain on the intertarsal joints in particular. Full-time work was therefore possible again.
These positive evaluations in individual cases can easily be seen as improvement in the work stages in terms of occupational medicine.
The Salli chair offers flexible motion sequences, which probably could not be achieved by the usual rolling stools or other sit-stand furniture currently on the market. In addition, the “riding position” on the Salli chair promotes a healthy spine position.
In cases of rehabilitation where there is a danger of an employee losing his or her job, the situation can be resolved by using this chair. Insurance company, or other authorities, should not be forgotten, if they provide compensation.

Carpenter
Due to a serious prostate disease, it was not possible for me to participate in working life as a carpenter, since I had considerable pain when sitting. We sit a lot at our workplace.
Therefore, the German pension insurance granted me a Salli Saddle Chair (chair model: Salli Twin with a stretching support).
The two-part seat, the inclination adjustment and the stretching support help me a lot. After only 3–4 months since starting using the Salli Saddle Chair, I am pleased and very happy to be able to participate in working life again, and now without pain.

I have been using a Salli Saddle Chair since 2007, and I just bought my third Salli. I’m very pleased with the chairs and we use them daily daily; actually we only sit on anything else during coffee breaks.
There is a lot to do in industrial ergonomics. I’m happy to invest in it because I can immediately see the increase in work productivity and the decrease in sick leaves. Even though I only employ two people I believe that an investment in ergonomics will be worthwhile. Besides, it’s nice to work when you have a comfortable chair.
All our chairs have the two-part seat which is very important in this male-dominated field. Also our guys can keep their good posture for the whole day, because the chair does not press the crotch and they do not have to round the lower back to avoid the uncomfortable pressure, not even when they are bending forward.
