Saddle chairs have already found their way into several professions, the latest being the film industry.  Will the next Russain masterpiece be directed while sitting on Salli?

Nikita Mikhalkov is the world’s most famous living Russian director. He won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Film in 1995 for the film “Burnt by the Sun.” Now he is also the owner of a special Salli Saddle Chair that was made according to his specific wishes.

Mikhalkov’s Salli SwingFit has a Stretching Support at the back, allowing one to stretch the whole body and straighten the chest, and to inhale deeper without getting up from the chair.

Two movable Allround supports with custom-made pockets make sure that all important items are at hand at all times. The pockets were designed by Vladimir Telegin who is a friend of Mikhalkov’s and who came to pick up the chair from Finland last summer. Salli’s upholsterers Raul Tihaste and Riitta Kosunen did the actual sewing and attaching of the pockets according to Telegin’s instructions.

The anatomically designed chair keeps the energy level high and helps one to concentrate on what is important, without being distracted by discomfort in the body.  This is the most convenient solution for the work in the film industry, where you have to sit for a very long time; filming takes place all day long and continues for days. Salli Saddle Chair helps to prevent many of the problems that arise when sitting on traditional chairs for a long time.

Salli Saddle Chairs are sold in Russia by Salli’s dealers in St. Petersburg, Stomshop and Uni.Form Limited Liability Company.
