The evidence for medication treatment is weak and contradictory. Moreover, the effects of medications were not expressed numerically, which is already a sign of weak efficacy.
However, there are effective non-medication methods for both preventing and even treating prostate cancer.
The main root cause of prostate cancer is the weakened fluid circulation (blood and lymph) in the pelvic area due to traditional sitting. We can reduce the risks:
- Men should primarily sit, especially on their main work chair, on a saddle chair with a middle gap, which eliminates the pressure effect on the pelvis that impairs fluid circulation.
- The seat should be equipped with a swinging mechanism. This so-called “micro-movement” increases fluid circulation in the muscles and internal organs of the pelvic area.
- A man should wear loose-fitting clothes around the pelvis that do not constrict or hinder fluid circulation in any way when sitting.
- Men should live without underwear that raises the temperature in the tissues, especially in the testes, whose optimal temperature is only 33 degrees Celsius. Testicular health also affects the internal organs of the pelvis. Hygiene can be maintained perfectly well with washing and is much better than using toilet paper.
- Standing for 10-20% of the workday at regular intervals and walking at least once an hour also increases vital fluid circulation in the pelvis.
- A man should keep the inflammation level in his entire body as low as possible. This is especially important to prevent inflammation with good lifestyle habits in the colon, gums, urinary organs, joints, and to avoid excess body fat.
- A sufficient amount of vitamin D (120-150 nmol/l, similar to what one might get on a sunny vacation) is a super important protective factor against any cancer. A suitable daily dose is 100–150 mcg/day, depending on the man’s size.
- Regular use of cranberries is known to reduce inflammation in the pelvic area.
All men should monitor their prostate health from the age of 40, every 3-5 years, with inexpensive lab tests. When the PSA hormone is below 1 and the prostate size is under 15 g (measured with an ultrasound from the abdomen), the situation is good. When these values start to rise, it’s time to begin the above-mentioned effective measures.
