Why we are not feeling well mentally

The excessive alcohol consumption that starts during student life often continues, along with staying up late or even awake for the whole night. Overweight, having morning fatigue, and feeling exhausted after the weekend are already evidence of poor lifestyle choices. Only a few eat fiber- and nutrient-rich food and completely avoid fast food.

In general, junk food (fast food, sweets, pastries, processed foods, alcohol, and sugary drinks) dominates the nutrition of students and young working-age individuals, just like other Finns. There is too little physical activity, calming silence, peaceful sauna sessions, rejuvenating hobbies, and healthy sexual activity.

In the era of current chemical agriculture, food lacks essential nutrients, and most consumed food is already 1-2 weeks old. The diet that corresponds to a sedentary worker’s low energy expenditure inherently contains too few essential nutrients. Therefore, a well-planned supplement program is essential. After all, even domestic animals receive a comprehensive supplement program for optimal health, even though their feed is entirely nutritious.

A decline in vitamin D levels below the healthy summer level or sun holiday level (120 nmol/l) during winter is an indication of poor health understanding and care. Treating the main deficiencies causing discomfort doesn’t require mental health professionals or additional medication but rather the use of common sense to adopt and educate for better health habits.
